Questions & Answers

What service(s) do you offer a student athlete that wants to improve their athletic ability, in hopes of continuing to compete at the next level?

For student athletes serious about improving their athleticism we offer individual and/or group training. Group training allows an aspiring athlete to receive an individualized strength and conditioning program and quality instruction economically. Private instruction (or one-to-one) is also available for athletes that would benefit the most under those circumstances. Please note the recommended age for a scholastic athlete interested in group training at Athletic Excellence is at least 14 years of age. Special circumstances will be handled case by case. Contact the facility for scheduled days and times as they may change seasonal. Each athlete is required to complete an assessment prior to participation.

Who and what type of student athlete(s) have trained at your facility? Do you have any references from those student athletes to share?

We have trained a variety of athletes over the last twenty plus years, which also includes student athletes. The majority of the student athletes that seek our services have aspirations to continue to compete in college and/or currently participate in a collegiate sport. In addition, we have worked with young adults that do not compete in a sport but wish to improve their overall health and fitness. We have numerous personal references, statistics, and data on student athletes we have worked with over the years. Some have gone on to a professional level and continue to train with us periodically. Check our reference section under our web site for testimonials from student athletes or contact us for details about student athletes from a particular sport.

This frequently asked question depends on several factors to accurately answer. We often find the answer to this question begins with a serious discussion about the commitment level of the potential client. Bluntly put, we ask the client to put a value on their performance, and we advise them if they’re not committed to investing towards their performance then we are not in a position to help. Group training for the student athlete is offered at $75 – $55, discounted session packages are also available upon request for this service. Individual training for an amateur athlete will cost $125 – $75 per session; discounted session packages are available for purchase upon request.

What’s the difference between your service and other trainers (or facilities) that work with young athletes?

Athletic Excellence is committed to delivering the most up to date research and cutting edge trends on physical training. The majority of our clients are adult athletes with a professional or amateur status. Working with either population requires you to have extensive knowledge and skill on how to effectively improve performance as well as other issues. It’s not our goal to train a whole team or a large volume of student athletes, we seek those who wish to excel through quality driven training. Student athletes that participate at Athletic Excellence benefit by working with a staff that has the knowledge to teach, and the applicable experience to help an individual achieve optimal performance.
